Bf-109(Mock G-6) D-FMBB Pics + References Needed
#1

Hello all!

After experimenting a bit with pre-made skins, I feel I am up for the challenge of making a decent skin for the Bf-109.
The particular aircraft I'm basing it on is the Ha-1112 (remade to be a Bf-109G-6), ID# D-FMBB.
I have a few very helpful pics that I refer to, but if anyone has any other pics, you're welcome to post them. This would be a great help for me.

Instead of making it exactly like D-FMBB, I'll take the camo scheme, and add historical markings to it. In Germany, where the plane is based, it is illegal to paint the swastika on Nazi Germany aircraft. This is why the plane in real life is missing them.

Thanks!

So you pretty much want to make a generic G-6 scheme?

Thank you so much for the link, Claymore! I have no excuse not to make this skin, now!

I kinda sorta wanna (heh) make a generic skin. Not quite, though. I suppose if I find it's not too hard I might go ahead and do the real thing, then one skin w/o markings of course, and probably one with markings and my own little squadron insignia (you'll see what I'm talking about).

I'll try and post pics when I get up to speed with this!
I'm no skinner like Zeppo! This might be a B-Grade skin, but I'll try my best at it. (So it may take a bit  )

Thank you very much, Phas3e!
Wow! Those figures are very detailed!

Not sure if I'll need a book on the matter at the moment just yet, Ben, but I'll be sure to let you know! Thanks!

So, if I'm not mistaken, there are basically 3 tones to the scheme - Dark grey, light grey, and blue-grey... (I have no clue of the RLM#) Maybe 02, 75, and 76?

Phas3e, I need to apologize! I do realize it is not only Zeppo producing the high-quality skins around here. There are so many other artists that I couldn't begin to start counting off!
Sorry about that!
Note: Don't post drowsy

not a problem I never thought that at all

the rlm colours you want are 75 (dark green grey) 75 (light grey) and 76 ( a very light blueish grey)

As for what to use in game, every expert has their own idea on what it should look like but in game the lighting and the game itself changes things, so its best to experiment.

This skin I accidentally left my 74/75/76/ chips (center top) look at other Luftwaffe skinners and see what looks best to you

Ah, I see! Another top-notch skin to d/l!
Thank you very much for your continued help, Phas3e!

I believe I have the colors picked out - The most daunting part of this skin staring me in the face is the blotchies! Is there a special tool in GIMP for this, or will I just have to zoom in and custom make them?
