nice! a B-17 called "Sentimental Journey" flew into my town of Montrose , CO. i got to go inside and look around. i wish i had pics of the inside and i would share them, but sadly i do not. :roll:

The man that was a big part of restoring the Liberty Belle lives in my hometown. That B-17 is constantly popping in and out between tours. He has also worked on a C-47, DC-4, B-25, and is currently working on a P-40. I'll have to stop by the airport and take some pics for ya'll.

I was born in Baxley in Appling County but raised in the North. My Grandparents dairy farm was on the Jeff Davis/Apppling County line.

Yeah that ain't too far from Douglas. I'm a history major specializing in WW2 aviation. Technically I'm from Broxton on the northern edge of Coffee County

I spent over thirty years working for NASM so I can definitely sympathize with your obsession. How you gonna use that education. Museum work is rewarding but does not pay much but I guess it makes up for that in job satisfaction.
