Hi guys, I've got a small problem : when I'm running Il-2 with Vista I've 2 problems : in one hand the game froze (the screen stop on a picture) and I can't do anything or in an other hand the game crashes and I've got a nice Win back.
Perhaps I've to install the game instead of copying it from XP but it won't be a source of problem, isn't it ?

I have it installed under Vista and it works fine. If you copied the folder over from an XP PC, then yes, it will nto run correctly. You will need to install it on the Vista PC.

G'Day mate, I transfered mine from XP to vista, however to get it to work properly place it in C:\Ubisoft\1946 etc NOT C:\Progromme files.

If you find you need to reinstall (which is usually the better option) run the programme as an administrator.

Sorry guys but even with a new installation (run with admin power) the game still froze... Perhaps a problem with graphism config. What are the best settings in il2 setup for a ATI Radeon 4850 HD ?

I've found a solution : execute il2 in xp compatibility mode (found in right click proprieties)

I dont think the stock 1946 runs on its own. Patch. compatibility mode.

I installed on 64 bit ultimate to default location, stock didnt run but then I moved my install from XP over and placed it over the 64 bit install and it runs fine.
