I'm looking forward to trying out "The Siege" as it looks like everyone is having a ball with it. I've got to put some new pots in my joystick before I play other peoples' campaigns (long overdue job) as it's only really fit for testing at the moment - too wobbly for precision shooting.

Are you going ahead with your Caldwell re-write? I really want to fly over that Darwin map.....

The Caldwell re-write is underway. Not too much time to dedicate to it due to work lately but I chip away at it as with all else. These new maps, by those talented map makers who have offered up their services, are absolutely fantastic for variety in new campaigns.

I'm really waiting for the new 1:1 channel map to come out so I can begin my new WIP. I think I may make it a little shorter than all my others. No less fun of course. The missions on a 1:1 map of the English channel will test the attention span of many players (probably like my Sakai campaign with much time over water). But it is great for realism.

For example, You take off and form up, climb to altitude, transit the channel. Make first contact 40 min into the mission, make one turn and BAM! Your wing is gone. 190A4 out of the sun. Mission over. Welcome to the war. hock:

I'm looking to do a late-war Beaufighter campaign on that map. Maybe also an A-20G. I like planes that can do straight lines fast, but can't do all the flitty manouvering.

I'm not really that interested in the Battle Of Britain, to be honest. It feels almost treasonous for a British person to say that, but there you go - I've said it. I couldn't give a monkeys about the Battle of Britain.
