Thank you, this is a fantastic model and a great addition to IL-2.I found always annoying to "fly" a plane without a forward-firing gun. Ju-88 is a reasonable slow-speed turner, better or at least comparable with almost all heavy english and american fighters (Mosquitos,Beaus,A-20s,P-38s - AND P-47s!).A bad calculation on a B n Z (on P-38s and P-47s) can give a good chance for a kill for the Ju-88, as well as a close dogfight between twins is a very interesting encounter.
I have this up and running,but I can't access skins on the menu,what is the right folder designation for skins?Thanks.
Can you find somewhere the operational history of this plane ?
Because now we have this very nice plane, it would be good to have the history with her.
When trying to load from either the FMB or the QMB, I get the following message at the 30% Download Aircraft point: "ERROR Mission Loading Failed: INTERNAL ERROR: HierMeshObj: can't load HIM 3DO/Plane/Ju-88A-4torp/hier.him"
Also when choosing the Ju-88A-4 Torpedo Bomber in the FMB View Object it won't show an image of it, and in the QMB it will not allow the Arming Screen to be selected when this aircraft is chosen. These options work fine for all other aircraft.
I have no problems saving missions made with the aircraft. I made a fresh copy of IL2 patched to 4.08. Downloaded Unified Installer v1.0 and Ju-88 Torpedo Bomber V1-01 as per instructions in Read-me. These are the only Mods installed on this copy of IL2. The FW-190A-5/U14 Mod that come with the Universal Installer works just fine.
Read through this whole thread and have not seen this problem. I tried merging the plane.ru and weapons. ru files from the Files/i18n and the MODS/STD/i18n folders and ensured that the files existed only in the MODS/STD/i18n folder as suggested and still get the same message.
As this is the first time I've had a Mod that would not load, I am wondering what I am missing. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Has anyone modified the combat model for the new modded Ju-88?? I tried mast top bombing with the default game Ju-88 in a campaign a couple of years ago and it was hopeless. Since the combat model for the Ju-88 was "dive bomber", the schwarm jinked vertically to "get in position" for an attack. The result was that all of the 88's ditched, except for the lead plane.
The combat model for the Ju-88 would need to be switched to torpedo bomber to avoid similar catastrophes.
Been through every post on this thread , followed all the instructions, deleted duplicate weapons and plane files and got UI so A-5U-14 is there, first version of 88 installed is 1.01 as I missed the first one. Totally at a loss now how to get it up and running. Any ideas anyone :oops:
I'm a bit late on this a/c but I now have it and works great! Excellent work and thanks to all involved. In this thread I saw mention of a He-111H6? Is this also available and where do I find it? I did a search but did not come up with it?
