#1

Hi,

my friend ordered some very cool parts for his PC.
Its my job to put it together ^^

If everything is done I wanna test it Smile

I need mission with many objeckts, many moving objekts ... to find the limit Smile

Does something like this allready exist?

Maybe a huge Bomber Sqaud with 400 B 17 or something else ^^

I see your intention, but you see, in IL2 it is much limited with game’s engine. Hardware itself play its role but only to some instance, not so important.

If test goes well can you please post the specs? I'm curious if Il-2 benefits of the dual/ quad core cpu's.

If i'm correct then Il-2 is more cpu demanding. While other 'games' are more gpu demanding...

If the source code could be re- written for multi core processors than this would be a huge improvement in FPS.

Thanks in advance! 8)

What about the Pearl Harbor map. Everybody gets HUGE lag on it around the harbor bases with all of the ships and such.

How about this.. over at m4t there is a template called the island british base by blumax, its absolutely loaded with detail, over 26000 placed objects, a good test for even a high end rig, fantastic depiction of a british base and port

Not bad... Confusedhock: Big Grin That will do...

Please let us know the outcome of your test. I will upgrade later when Sow BoB is released but Il-2 most also run like silk. Again, I'm not sure how Il-2 will run on multi core cpu's...

my Pearl Harbor mission was made several years ago...when my computer was very poor....and I flew it at half speed

after we learned how to do maps I have made a version of the Hawaii map which includes many of the Objects put into the mission...they are now on the map....which helps a bit

the map is available at my site and I'll upload the mission for it which doesn't need all those objects in the mission file....and you fly a Zero

map is here....

video of the mission running is here....
