I am having problems dl things from the internet. It seems for some
reason I can not complete a dl. I can dl and then when it gets at 99%
and reads 1 sec. left, it just hangs up and freezes and does not finish
the down loading. I wait for five minutes and still nothing happens.
I was able to down load before, however since my wife went on facebook
the dl problems began.
I have run scans and nothing comes up wrong. Can you give me advice on what may be wrong.

My comp made it when I had download's virus scan on from the FireFox settings.

Have you got a stop or pause button on your DLmanger, just click it wait for a sec and restart that should fix the last bits! I have the same with firefox built-in manager! I usually use dTa http://www.downthemall.net/ for all my DL but on rare occations I have to use the native manager and I do the mentioned trick!
