Version Swithcher and conf.ini proplem.
#1

Whenever I change game versions using the version switcher my conf.ini reverts to game default settings, forcing me to re-apply my conf.ini settings from a back up I have stored elsewhere on my machine.

Is there a fix for this?

If you use Jonesoft Generic Mod Enabler you can load custom conf.ini files with each version.
Set it up how you want it.
JGME is not from AAA but it now works well with AAA mods.
You need to set the JGME default directory to XODS, not MODS, to avoid conflicts.
You get an option to change the default directory when the JGME program is first launched.

Actually I have found the problem.

I feel like a dummy.

In the version switcher file for 4.08 standard was a default conf.ini. I simply removed it and 'viola, it works perfectly now.

Thanks for the answer though, I never even thought of using JSGME for IL2 mods. It works great in Silent Hunter 4.

Thanks BlitzPig, I found that I also had the default config.ini in those switcher folders. I have pasted the correct file in their place and hope this problems goes away. Interesteing to note that not all the switcher folder have a config.ini is that normal?
