An idea for some new objects to use in FMB
#1

I know I have been coming up with a few ideas recently, but for some reason they just keep coming. This one is for destroyed objects...object we could use when building a map like Stalingrad. Burnt trucks & buildings, piles of rubble, wrecked aeroplanes, destroyed lamp post, broken walls. I have an idea for "modular" sections of destroyed buildings the could be put together in different ways so that it could look like different types of destruction. This could help brake up the skyline so that it didn't look quite as uniform.
I really wish I had the time to learn some new skills...

I wonder if it is possible to add a "color wheel" to object properties in the FMB? It would be great if someone could "code in" a generic "windows color option panel" so the we could change a predetermined pigment in an object. Changing the hue of the blue or red in a skin could give an object a different look...it would help add some variety to a map.

There is the destruction brush in the FMB already.
This allows you to destroy the buildings in a city to different levels.
Full Mission Builder.com has a video tutorial on how to use it.
I'd post a link but I don't think the rules allow it in this forum.

In regards to other objects like vehicles and airplanes I have always wanted to be able to place damaged objects on my maps.

for damged planes there is an easy posibility. use the fake-planes from the objects. the dummy-wooden thingies. these can be destroyed with the destruction brush. leaves a burnt plane skeleton.

Wish you had a marquee function here.
This looks neater to me when he flies across the screen.
Have a happy and joyous day today everyone.

Ya, thanks "wheelsup_cavu"...

I'm actually familiar with the destruction brush function in the FMB. What I'm requesting is some modular building sections that could be assembled in different ways so that some variate can be added into the landscape. When you use the "destruction brush" each building type is destroyed in the same way...the landscape appears much too "regular", destruction is random (and messy).
I would like to see a variety of destroyed walls sections (inside & outside walls)...some brick, some wood & plaster, some just wood, ect. Some destroyed fence sections, piles of brick that can be "mashed" together in different ways, piles of house destruction like wood beams (with and without bricks) & furniture. Some of these objects could be placed inside "brush destroyed" buildings to add some detail and variety. And some sections could be assembled on their own...thanks anyway. Smile

Have I missed a download? I just went into FMB and can't find 'Destruction'. What's wrong?

I just have vanilla FMB.

Great days all.

This is no mod, it's a standard feature as old as the game, open a map in FMB then go to "view" then "destruction", for how to use it see the link above to Flying Nutcase tutorials...
