Takeoff from parking place

Hello, I have a question about setting takeoff from parking in FMB, how can I do that, can anybody help me pls? thanks

If you want you and AI planes to takeoff from parking place then you need to modify AI

I mean like at AAA server maps, just startup from parking, dont know how exactly say in english, 'stoj

Could be wrong but I think he means spawning at the end of the runway

exactly the opposite

on dogfightmaps you spawn on parkingposition and have to taxi to the runway
if you build some coop or singleplayermissions you start always on the runway
he wants a coop or SP mission, where you spawn on parking position

i tried it once, i had to place many invisible airfileds/ runways for that
so i was able to spawn inside a hangar
BUT
as soon as you leave the invis. field you crash half a meter down to the earth, resulting in an explosion
to prevent this, you have to cover the whole airflied (or at least runway, taxiways an parkingslots) with invisible airfields/ runways

first of all it is much work (and frustrating)
second, you are only allowed to place about 15 invis. airstrips
if you place more, the map will crash so you are not able to cover a big airfield with them...

i have the mission still anywhere in my IL folder, so you can have a look in the editor
but beware of the long loadingtimes and there might be some problems on startup
(if i remember right, we had to host this missions several times, before it worked...)

The best alternative...although not easy...is to make a new version of the map and add the extra Runaway icons using the Unlocked map builders FMB

rookie map/mission makers try to do this with out fully knowing how the game engine works and thus lose a lot of build time in the process before they learn that it is a game engine limitation.

theese information are only valuable if you build online dogfightmissions
but we were talking about the other problem, when every plane spawns on the runway in lineformation

in co-op or offline play the planes will always spawn line astern on the active runway. Sorry, as i said, game engine limitation.

S! Gents


The aircraft must have a take off point away from any influence of airbase icons. The aircraft needs virutally flat ground and enough room for the rest of the section to spawn as they appear in echleon formation.
