Paulo Hirth, try this,
1. Open your "QMBPlus1.1" folder and look inside it for a "QMBPlus" folder.
If there is one there, drag it into the MODS folder.

2. Place the "Quick" folder into the main Missions folder in the main game directory.
That "Quick folder should have a bunch of MIS files inside of it.
If it does you should be good to go

If that does not work, PM me your email and I will send my Quick folder to you.

There has been some confusion due to the fact that the QMBPlus1.1 folder contains the actual QMBPlus folder and the MODS folder needs the QMBPlus folder, NOT the QMBPlus1.1 folder

As Forager noted, the portion of the path you're using (in red above) is incorrect. If you extract the QMBPlus1.1.rar to a temp folder, you'll see the "QMBPlus" folder, that's the one that goes into the MODS folder.

The full path will look like this:
  • \MODS\QMBPlus\

    \MODS\QMBPlus\Missions\

    \MODS\QMBPlus\Missions\Quick\.mis

I have no idea where you came up with the "files" folder in that path (in green above)... It has no place in the QMBPlus mod. Perhaps you have an early version of the mod, try re-downloading it.

There's also a very well done readme file that shows all that is needed to get QMBPlus operating (requires editing a couple files).

Considering all the excellent sound work you've done, paying close attention to details is not normally an issue you have... :roll:

I dont have a QMB Plus 1.1 folder at all? Although I do have QMB plus ?? I have the AAA Unified version is that why ?

If I install these into a 'quick' folder in IL2 nothing happens when I try to open them in QMB ?

Any ideas guys?

OK, my turn to give up now... I followed the instructions when installing QMB plus, and I have a quick missions folder in my main Missions folder, but when I go to the QMB, (and it says "QMBPlus at the top of that screen) there's only a dozen maps listed, not including Bessarabia, NWEurope, etc., and there aren't any missions available to load. So I copied 4./JG53_Badger's files (thank you!), and nothing changed. Nothing. If I go to the FMB, the missing maps and missions are listed. But that is all. And I am running v4.09, according to the splashscreen.

Any ideas?

lofty_c, from the install instructions:

"4. If you are new user add following in the end of your conf.ini file:

[quick]
Custom0=NWEurope
Custom1=MTO
Custom2=Bessarabia"

Did you do that?
If you did, the NWE, Bessarabia and MTO maps should be in the list.

Any other new map you want to use in the QMBPlus must have a place in that list also, else it will not show as a choice in the QMBPlus.

Look here for an example of what you need to make maps show up in the QMBPlus.

lofty_c, your statement: "and there aren't any missions available to load.", leads me to believe you are looking for the wrong thing from the QMBPlus.

Those missions in the Quick Folder are basically templates for you to place planes into, they work like this:
1. Select a map
2. Select a target.
3. Select your plane, your flights and enemy flights.
4. Select fly and the mission should start.

If you are clicking on load and getting an empty window, go here: viewtopic.php?t=9606

These are missions that will show up when you click on LOAD in the QMBPlus and they must be placed in the "Quicks" folder which has nothing to do with the "Quick" folder.

The "Quicks" folder is located in the main game directory.

thanks fo the help, Forager. I did add just those lines to the conf file, and I also copied the whole list that 4./JG53_Badger had posted, and in both cases this is what shows up in the list: slovakia, okinawa, coral sea, padific islands, smolensk, kuban, crimea, norway, kurland autumn online, new guinea, hawaii, desert online, italy online, ardennes winter, onlineMT, and burma. And i did install those 100 ace missions, and they are in a Quicks folder in the main game directory, and there is still a blank load window. I must be missing something, but I'm sure that everything is whee it is supposed to be. Oh, and while I'm thinking about it, are there supposed to be no p-38 single missions in the US folder? the game runs quite well, so I don't think it's a vista 64 issue. maybe I can just blame it on the republicans?

lofty_c, OK, it seems the basic QMBPlus is working, now to find out why those other maps are not showing up.

I actually have no clue.
If a map is installed and shows up in the FMB and the QMBPlus is installed correctly and there is a line in the conf [quick] section that map should be in the QMBPlus list.

The numbering sequence is paramount, it must go 0 1 2 3, etc, if not, any map under the error will not show up.

As for the LOAD button leading to an empty window, another mystery. If there is a Quicks folder and it contains "QUICK File" entries they should show up for you.

Have you tried a reinstall of the QMBPlus?

I am not familiar with vista and if it is not a vista issue, I would prefer to blame it on the democrats. Smile

in the folder, it's just the files and not another folder, right?

well, if I ever figure it out, I guess that'll be nice, but I do know that even as things are, I have plenty of flying to do before I get "done" with this game. Thanks for your help anyway!

Forager S!, or anyone who knows-lol

Ref 2 above "Place the Quick folder...etc " - What Quick folder? There is none in the QMB plus1.1 download, -only folder in that is the QMB plus folder ( which you put in the Mods folder ).

So, where is this Quick folder to be found ( in order to put it in the Missions folder?)

TIA

Cas141, look inside the "QMBPlus folder. The quick folder is there.

Also, be advised, the quick folder can remain there, no need to move it into the Missions folder now.
