hi everyone, first of all!

I'm new here, and really want to taste what its like to play all this mods.
but I can't install anything, and can't understand why!

first I've downloaded "ENG_Sound_mod_Version_093" and installed everything following the instructions. but when I opened the game, there were no mods anywhere! I tried to look for them on quick mission, or single mission, or campaigns, and there was nothing new!

so I've downloaded the Unified Installer Version 1.0, same thing... no mods anywhere.
so I've re-installed the game, re-installed v4.08m patch, and tried again to install the Unified Installer.
this time I took notes of some of the names of the files being extracted, and when I looked for them I didn't found any of them anyplace in my computer.

do anyone knows what it's happening? why do files simply disappear as they're extracted?

Check the path the mods are being installed to.

Maybe they are not going into the game folder.

I've double-checked!
C:/Ubisoft/Il-2 Sturmovik 1946

it's absolutely the same folder of the game.

I'm trying now to manually extract the files and copy to the folder. but I'm afraid I'll miss some locations where I should put some files.

OK.
I manually copied the files to my Sturmovik folder and ran the game.
a different loading screen appeared credited to AAA, but it loaded 5% and suddenly closed everything.
I tried again and it happens the same thing.

it seems the files are divided into 4 parts for each file on each download, so the only way to copy them together is with the self-extratctor...

ok, do you have the basic sound mod working?

if so, some mods have to be extracted to the mods folder, not the game folder.

HAVING PROBLEMS? STAY WAY FROM THE INDIVIDUAL MODS AND USE THE UNIFIED INTALLER Dude unless you can really work your way around folder structures forget the individual mod and do the "Unified Installer" ONLY! You'll be much happier and you'll be flying a lot more too! Be patient because it is worth it! WOW! These mods are fantastic!

That Unified Installer was created for a reason and that is for people who've done little if any games mods!
