Greetings! I want to ask you for advice, since I am not very good with computers hardware. I am planning to buy a new computer, and with my limited budget I have gotten two bids from computer shops, and I'd like to ask which one do you think is better for Il-2?

I've had a few MSI Mobo's in the past, they all died weird and unexplainable deaths. Had good friends with MSI GPU's and they also did the same thing - for no real explanation. Now only buy ASUS and Gigabyte. I would suggest, as with Jarmo, the second set up, but with the first Mobo, the Gigabyte...

If you can push your budget slightly more I would suggest going for the 9600 GPU as well

System 2 is a better system although the Gigabyte board does have a good track record.
The 2nd system can be upgraded later to take the AMD Phenom Quad Core processor as the board is an AM2 board.

The 2nd system also has a better Power Supply. 420w is not enough for ANY current AMD processor, especially when paired with a high end video card.

I don't know what prices they are quoting, but as a Computer Store Manager (Part Time) I can tell you that System 1 is ALL OLD equipment and out dated. System 2 is much more current and can be upgraded for a lot less.
