Shippack 2 seems to be giving problems to many, just look at the thread....
viewtopic.php?t=7579
there seems to be an issue with the ini files, but I'm sure (I hope!!) someone is looking into it, because the Shippack is one of the premier mods, IMHO...
Thanks for the link bigbossmalone
1. Several of the .tga files that I tried to open in PSP refused to open and flashed the message: "Not a valid .tga file". Should I be worried about this? Was my d/l corrupted?
2. All the "add to .ini" files: Are they free standing files that are simply installed in the mods folder?
3. Or are they 'cut and pastes' to modify existing game default .ini files?
Can someone please post the link to ship pack 1 please?
my advise: get version2... all of Version1 plus some extra.
I tried but i am having series problems with version 2
the game crashes at 70% with shippack2 installed without it it works perfectly. Could you help me please thanks alot.
P-47 Thunderbolt Ace, do you have the "Static_AC" folder inside your MODS folder?
If so, place a minus (-) sign in front of it and see if the game will launch without crashing.
There is another solution in this topic: viewtopic.php?t=7579 but it is 10 pages long and if you are looking for a quick fix try my solution.
yes, this has been discussed to lenghts here... I bet your problem is due to having dublicate files. check you Il2 install for dublicate versions of the concerened shippack related .ini files. The gae will crash if it detects two versions of one of these. static_AC is is good way to start the search. i had my troubles there too.
this is not related to the version of shippack ut to a change in the file structure within mods that was implemented later by our powers-that-be
look for ship pack 2.
contains version 1 and more.
