McWolf, the misplaced textures issue that groundlover and I am having is 100% an ATI issue but not because our drivers are fraked. It's the way that ATI cards render these textures.

I've had the same issues with Buffy's Flak and Maven's Hit effects / Gunsmoke Mods. Texture pixel sizes need to be divided evenly by 32. Resizing those textures to fit within that schema fixed the anomalies they were causing.

36x36, 140x140 as well as anything else that doesn't fit will cause problems on most ATI systems.

Please resize USAAF, RN, RAF and RAAF Decals to 128x128. I'll bet my life that the problems will go away.

regards

Chiming in: McWolf, I hope that advance will succeed. I tried it today: Any mod-removal was of no use, the only way to get rid of messed up markings was a deinstall of your great mod.
Messed up on ATI:
P-51s, P-47s, Mustangs, Spits, Hurricanes, Mossies and P-40s (xcept the one with old USN markings): any RAF, US markings (working fine: NL, RNZAF yet without any wear or shine)

Working somehow: Tempest and Tomahawk (though no US markings)

Hope this helps and keeping my fingers crossed.

Thanks in advance,

Pongie Smile

Forget to reply, thanks for it!
PS: strange, those British roundels come from my old NewMat, at that time, I use Ati9800, but no any problem.

Do you recommend the update only for ATI cards? Will it do anything for NVidea users?

Thank you, McWolf!!!!

That really cut the mustard. Working fine now. It's a Top-5 Mod to me, allowing me to dump a zillion MatManager files. Aces sure did one hell of a job but it has slowed down so many defrags, virusScans and so on...

Thx McWolf and gromic for explaining the matter. 8)

I think it's not necessary now, if you didn't have any problem on decal display.
