I have been a huge fan of the IL2 series since it first came out. In the last few years I have had alot less time to speand due to the arrival of a mini me in the house but I got a week to myself this week and dipped in again. Whilst trying to find more news on SOW I discovered this site. I really had no idea that the modding community was this prolific or professional. I installed the Mod pack 1.1 really easily and for the sounds alone I was blown away then I find I can now fly a B17 !!! holy S***!. So just wanted to say thanks for all your work modders thanks to you I now have a new game... who needs SOW !! Perhaps anyone could also give me a few ideas about what I can do now also.....I was only patched up to 4.08 but the switcher appears to allow me to start 4.09 modded. So does this mean I have new maps and if so where can I get missions etc for these maps..... do I need some kid of mission generator (sorry I never had time to get into that side of things) ...... any hints to help me enjoy this new world you have made would be greatly apreciated.

First, wrong section m8 (no matter for first timer)
For those missions, you can download missions here or somewhere else, or make them with full mission builder in main menu.

Trust me this only gets better ...I speak as a veteran of this site too! Of course I've had to reinstall entire game & reload Mods & maps any number of times due to my own clumsiness.Having said that there is a lot of help & patience to be found here too.
One over- riding piece of advice- save everything Il-2 -wise into a different drive ....you never know when you might need it.
(Also make sure you donate a little something to keep this site up & running- who knows how long we'll haveto wait for BoBSoV...certainly longer than 2 weeks!)
