Restored ww2 C.A.C Boomerang fighter aircraft

Thats a bit like saying the Sea Fury was developed from the TA 152 (although that may be stretching the point)

Yes but the Brits never bought several Fockewulf aircraft and improved it into a Sea Fury . There are major differences between the TA-152 and The Doras and the 801 powered A8,s but they all have a common lineage.

You little ripper Magpie & the 662nd team ... I'm pretty sure we'll see many a mission in both the New Guinea & Neil Lowes Darwin map as well as the upcoming Rabaul map with the Boomerang featured.

PS ... are any of you talented skinners working on a 'Suzie Q' skin for the bent stick?

Cheers n Beers Smile

Acutally, it was after examining a captured 190 the they designed the Fury/Sea Fury, and it incorporated a number of features from the German aircraft, from the close cowled radial engine installation to the electrical operation of guns and undercarriage etc. So, as I said it's a bit stretching the point, but essentially the Fury and the TA152 have nothing in common except a common (streeeeetch) ancestor.
Same with the Harvard and the Wirraway. And the Boomerang is even further removed since it was loosely based on an aircraft (Wirraway) that was based on an aircraft ( NA-16-2K) that was developed into another aircraft (BC-1) before being developed further to become the Harvard.

Think this is getting a little off topic now. Looking great Mags Smile
