As a student of history, I hate to admit that I know very little about the 1944 Slovakia Campaign, but it interests me greatly. I have found several excellent sources of information on the internet, especially with regards to the fighting around Dukla.

Can anyone tell me where this battle took place, with regards to the new Slovakia Map? I have searched the map for several hours and am having great difficulty getting my bearings, mainly due to the various naming conventions used for cities, landmarks, etc. in this area, as compared to the Russian source material.

I would like to build a historical dogfight mission for this area, to host on Warwings and the Winds of War, and I want to make sure I get it right. Information on blue vs. red airfields, plane sets, etc., would be very much appreciated. 8)

Part of it you can find on Lvov masp, around Krosno in the NW part of this map.

Sorry for being so late, but I see nobody answered your question. So: the present Slovakia map does not include Dukla region, it is far most to the east. Only Banska Bystrica region, where the September 1944 Uprising occured, is involved. There is only northwestern part of Slovakia.As it concerns the Dukla operation, it occured at eastern part of Slovakia, southwest from Krosno on Lvov map.
