rcu file and dot range settings

G'day.
At first I was able to set my dotranges in the rcu file. when in dogfight moving objects maps.
Now i find i cannot. Also, can you set dotrange settings in a coop within the mission file?
I have now deleted the rcu file hoping a majic pixie will replace it for me Big Grin
any clues please?
it was working ok with moving objects dogfight maps (just like you can use cmd entry to change time of day etc)

rcu file still not working: deleted and remade another rcu DAT file, but still can't set MP_dotranges ingame,, can someone do a fix for this bug in the 1.1 please. (I can still change the tod settings)
and when looking at the comand screen I get alot of warnings and other stuff scrolling down as the game progresses,, This is in dogfight mode by the way with moving objects..

Heya Sharkzz,

how are you entering the commands in your rcu file? I found it easier to have a series of Dot files eg dot 1, 2, 3 etc where you can set various dotranges eg maybe dot1 could look like this;

mp_dotrange FOE COLOR 0.05 DOT 15 RANGE 0.05 TYPE 0.05 ID 0.05 NAME 0.05
mp_dotrange FRIENDLY COLOR 2.0 DOT 15 RANGE 1.0 TYPE 1.5 ID 1.0 NAME 0.5

@chat  Enemy Icons less than 100 metres! Friendly 2km ALL

In your rcu file you would enter this line;

@a D1 f Dot1

Once I'm ingame I'd bring up the console and type in D1 and hit enter and icons would then bet set at, in this example, 2km for friendlies and less than 100m for foe.

I don't know if any of this works in the modded environment, it's what I used to use before FBD and SC came along
