Windows says that my IL-2fb.exe is corrupt. How can I fix this?
The error came from the mod.
Okay, so I can't find anything at all on AAA relating to PF+FB+AEP and installation of the Unified Installer mod, and I'm using this mod with PF+FB+AEP and NOT with IL-2 1946. If this is the source of my problem, then stop me here.
If it should work with PF+FB+AEP, then here's what's happening- I too am getting the 'corrupt file' notification. I've now tried d/ling it from two mirrors, and the same thing is happening.
Any thoughts?
SO, I splurged for the $10 and picked up a copy of Il2 1946, and then tried installing the files I downloaded from Filefront.
Same problem- at the end of the installation, it says that some files were corrupt, and that I'd have to re-download and install them again.
So, to recap, from two mirrors, I get the identical corruption error- seems to me like I've largely eliminated a possible fart in my computer's downloading; something with the files themselves.
Anyhow, when I go to play the game, I can get in! It appears to work fine too. The only thing that's weird is that I appear to only have pitch, yaw, and head tilt functions from my TrackIR4 Proclip. No zoom feature.
Maybe this is a separate issue from the corrupt file ... ?
Windows asked me to run chkdsk utility and I found no problems there now even the original IL-2 has no sounds.
