nice skin...

it looks like the gun ports are in the wrong location, though

Because its a hack of the F-86.

The F-86 is armed with 6x .50 cals while the Fury has 4x 20mm cannons. To make things look right when the guns are firing, he chose to paint the gun ports on as they are found on the Sabre and simply omitted the center port on each side to make things look closer to the Fury.

It is a very nice skin though, I'm waiting for that download link Wink

It is a compromise, we do not have the FJ-3 in the game (yet !) and so the ports are positioned close enought to the fixed gun flashes so as not to be that noticable when playing.

Happy to post a skin with them in the correct position though, if people really want it.

I was writing my reply when Spartan10590 replied in my defence (thank you). The offer still stands to post an alternative skin if requested.

Oh yes, and it works really well ... all we need now is the tail hook...

Beautiful job! The Fury was always a favorite of mine. It was the A/C that we had at the jet engine school in Millington Tenn (Navel Air Technical Training School ADJ "A" ) that we got to start up and run.
Opps, I guess I just dated myself! LOL!
