I'm playing Pacific Lightning this weekend. I survived (barely) 9 missions so far. Had to ditch in Iron Bottom Sound near Guadalcanal beach the 2nd mission (not enough fuel). Bailed out 2 other times. But I'm making the japs pay dearly :twisted:

Just downloaded your new (I guess?) campaign as a Jabo in JG54 during Kursk. I wanted to ask is vpmedia's map upgrade included in UI1.1 (and it's patch) or do I still have to install it seperately?

Also, what can I expect in terms of air opposition? Yaks (1bs, 9s and 7bs)?

Yes that avatar makes me crease myself laughing everytime I see it.

As for Schwarm 54, I'm pretty sure that vpmedia's map upgrade is NOT included in the UI. It's pretty essential, as some of the improvements are incredible - Kursk is a good example.

As for enemy opposition, it's pretty historical - La-5, Yak-7B and P-39N - all nasty in their own individual ways. And of course the ubiquitous Sturmos......

Hi Phil

Really enjoyed the first two missions of the D13 campaign, nice and hard. I had a problem with No 3 in that the PC1000RS rocket bomb was not in the loadout options and the mission failed to load. I'm using UI 1.1.1 and VP's maps so I tink I have all the right ingredients. Any ideas as to what could be wrong as I'd dearly love to complete this campaign? The PC1000RS does show up in the loadout on QMB.

Hello bullstrap - did you try to load it again? Sometimes you get random loading failures.

As people appear to have completed the campaign, and I haven't altered it since release, I'm not sure what this could be.

I found a solution: I used the files from the D11-D13 V1.2 patch and overwrote those in the Universal installer, now the rocket bomb appears in the loadout. Many thanks for the great campaigns.

Heya Phil. Sorry to semi-necro this thread, but I've got a problem. I just installed the Fire and Steel campaign, but for some odd reason, I can't fly the thing! When the mission starts, it goes to a static camera, and I can't control my plane. I have no idea why. I can't go to cockpit, and aircraft controls don't respond. Can't even put the bloody thing in auto pilot. Tried 4 missions in a row, same problem. I can fly other campaigns just fine, but this one isn't working


Oh yeah, I loved the P-39 campaign, Phil. Made me all happy when I saw the "here's one MercenaryMuffin will like" thing.

Did you ensure that you have the Canon UK BOB objects installed?

Without these the map doesn't function correctly.

I installed the pack just in case I'm missing it, but still have the same problem. Can't fly. Weird :-?
