Sadly in IL-2, our beautiful P-40 has been practically destroied. As stated in a previous post (I believe it was by Bee) the P-40 has a lot of visual problems, including the wings of course. Well heres some other problems that could maybe be fixed by the moders.

the wires stay in postion. Is this 3d modeling or something else. I think that when the wing comes off the wire should lose tension and be like flowing in the air. If this is possible it might cause a big FPS drop though. Heres another image of the wire.



Hopefully our moders can get the old P-40 back to her real looks.

You know what would be cool was if the wires would flop around off the tail when a wing gets hit like that. Flappin' in the breeze.

The problem with the wire bug lies with how the game does damage models. It could be fixed but it would be a real pain in the butt.
