RAF PILOT CAREERS MODDED

OK, please open your DGen folder with Windows explorer. Do you have a file named 1939_Ardennes.DB in it? Probably not because you don't have installed latest EnjoyR Patch for BOE.

Please install latest EnjoyR Patch for BOE, available at Misison4Today.com, and then re-install my files and try again.

You may also start the campaign straight from the Battle of Britain or the third sub-campaign of the Battle of France.

Hi vtrelut,

First off, thanks for this, an unexpected bonus!

Does this mean it might be possible to use completely new maps in Dgen in the future, or at least fool dgen into beliveing that a new map is an old one...

If your only addon is BOE you will need the EnjoyrPatch for BoE v.4.9.
If you want to have the correct skins for the Dgen campaigns you should also download the skin patches. You can play the campaigns without the skins, but I think it is more fun to have them.

Just install one version of EnjoyR patches (read the read-me files over there too): patch A and patch B. Also install all his skin patches. That's it!

@Fruitbat, in DGen we can use modded maps but they must have airfields and cities with the same coordinates as the stock ones compatible with DGen. See separate thread here about new Channel Front campaigns by Boelcke. See also my explanations above: I can make it work only because I "tricked" DGen to believe Fly_Zo's BoB summer map was the Normandy stock map. Besides that we can also change textures of original maps, as long as it is cosmetic.

Thanks a lot to Juri_JS for his timely and appropriate technical support!

To vtrelut: thank you very much for your work, but the Readme says to install the modded carieer with JMGE mod enabler. How am I supposed to install your campaigns & Normandy map if I don't have a JMGE but a UI 1.0 only?

Regards,
Mangas.

Hello Mangas,

You need:

Battle over Europe payware add-on for DGen

AAA UI 1.1 plus Fairey Battle, Spitfire Mk XII, Mk XIVc, LF XIVe, Bf-109E-1

EnjoyR patch with JSGME installed (included in his patches): see link above at M4T; install the software JSGME using JSGMEMODS as the mods folder managed by JSGME (again all included in EnjoyR patch for BOE).

Boelcke's latest Channel Front modded campaigns.

Just install all this and when you extract my zip into your game install, everything will fit together.

Then to enable the Normandy modded map (BoB summer by Fly_Zo, now populated in the London area), use JSGME and enable the mod -Normandy_map

Cheers,

Vincent

BTW I uploaded the update as promised.

It is available at M4T right here:

London is now populated:

I use some of the files of Boelcke's Channel Front modded campaign, so you can fly the Spitfire Mk XII in 1944 too.

Fly_Zo's map is also used for 2 more sub-campaigns: Battle of France and the first sweeps over France in 1941.

For the Battle of France I now use the Fairey Battle by Ranwers available here:

hi Vtrelut hi installed as you explained it, and and it worked like a charm many thanks for your help.

i have 2 minor issues to solve the german fighters and french no have marking on and the brittish not have their oxygen mask above 3000 meters. other then that all works well.

I only have to install the skin patches yet.

btw does JSGME together with your MODS folder ot should i use both of them at the same time or just choose which one to use?

ah and another thing comes to mind can i now install other Dgen campaigns with no problems now like the many from Boelcke? just overwrite wenn it asks me to?

regards Rowddy.

Install JSGME using the JSGMEMODS folder. Install latest EnjoyR patch, and then Boelcke's new modded Channel Front campaign; then install my latest version of RAF campaigns on top of that. Always overwrite existing files.

For the markings: problem is most likely because you did not install skin patches. Always install all skin patches.

For oxygen mask: sorry I don't know...
