In this photo a french Vichy Dewoitine is refuelled by italian air force in Rhodes island:



The purpose was to reach Syria in order to combat british forces that invaded
the french colony.
In this area of mediterranean there were many naval and air battles, involving British, Italian,
German and French airforces. The airforces operations range reached Dodecanese Islands,
Syria, Palestine (it became Israel later), Egypt (raids on Alexandria) and even Iraq
and Bahrein Islands!
So, if someone is interested to do a map of this area, he is really welcome!!!
I hope this can interest someone !

I think you mean more "east" of that map. To include the Middle East; Israel, Syria, Iraq, etc.

But, isn't there a map already of this area? Or wasn't someone working on it already?

As far as I know, however, nobody is doing a map of Greece and the Agean proper.

I'm almost done with a map of Crete, east as far as Karpathos (Scarpanto) north to Milos, west to Molai (on the tip of Peloponnese), and south to Gavdos.

I thought something eastern, yes, and including also middle orient and egyptian coasts.
