I haven't finished these yet, still need to clean up the ends of the rails so they join up neatly, also may
need to make winter roads. They are all new objects, so the static.ini needs to have extra lines added.
If anyone is interested I will provide a link when they are ready.

Very much interested in this. They are just the thing for maps with small towns or very few population centers ...

I have used the Slovakia roads to get rid of the default grey roads, and replace them by dirt roads. I think they match very well with these. Very useful for more remote locations and large parts of Russia. Just change in the load.ini of the map you want changed:

[ROADS]
Rail = land/summer/Rail
Road = land/summer/Road
Highway = land/summer/sk_Road

Maybe it would be possible to use standard (changed) textures for the strait parts of (rail-)roads, and use the plates only for bends\curves to connect the strait parts?
The textures do have to match though..

These look Fantastic!

Hopefully when they come out I'll be ready to populate the Shang Hai Nanking map.

The roads and rail do look very good.

I love the awesome curve with the railroad tracks.

Top Notch Kevin.

KevinP dude, your work on the roads and rail tracks is ball-breaking! What a huge difference it makes to immersion.

Could there be a way for the roads to be laid via some sort of drag'n lay software tool?

Anyway, you're on to a real winner with this one. Good luck!

This is excellent!

I had so much trouble with my airfields because the main taxiways in game are too broadly. The historical taxiways were 10 to 15 mters wide.

This is so much needed. keep up the good work!

Never seen so many rave reviews - and so fully deserved. Bloody brilliant mate! Can't wait to add it to my maps and watch the trains go by! Shame to bomb them - is this a new tactic - to make the roads and rails so good that no-one will bomb them?

Cheers
