[Request] Ju 390 V1/V2
#1

It was a German super-plane. Only two were ever made. It supposedly did aerial refueling trials in March of 1944. It is said to have flown to South Africa, Japan, and just miles of the New York coastline. It was one of the suggested Amerika Bombers.

While the Ju390A-1 is interesting, I would vote for doing the 4-engined Ju290A-5 first, since many more of these were built and they could be used for Maritime patrol missions (e.g. Norway) and for the Stalingrad airlift (Ju290A-1s, I believe). Once the Ju290A is complete, making a Ju390 would involve stretching the airframe and adding the two extra engines.

Cheers,

Another obscure aircraft that has no foundation in this game.. for gods sake!
Why on earth are these type of aircraft being constantly requested when we haven't even got all the main WWII types yet?
Let alone the time and effort it will require to produce this flippin white elephant, that only the poster will want to use for 5 mins then get bored with it!!!
It's doing my head in now! :x

bcause many young people like unusual things. they like them becauce these are something special, and nothing that everyyone knows.

I'm speaking out of own experiance.

The plane: +1 Big Grin

But there were two prototyps and both of them flow min. once.

There is already a game that contais it: Secret weapons over normandy (SWON)

Been looking at the 290 and 390 for a while now but no drawings of high enough resolution to be of any use

I say +1 but after all the other WIP's with 8000 users on this site some will want the fantasy/prototype planes others will want the production types. I say if the planes are in the WW1 to korea timeline build them and let the users decide which planes they want, i personally am not interested in anymore spitfires but others are. Just my two cents

Wrong on what? All the feats supposedly happened. Oh yeah, most of my requests die anyways, but at least I bring certain planes to light. If they die, they die and at least they were mentioned. If they are brought to life by a modder, then the better the game gets.

I think there's too few modders out there and this site relies on only a hand full compared to how many download/use these mods. But yes, I'm sure your requests have not gone unanswered and there's people in search of projects and aircraft to create. I hope this one is put high up on someone's to do list.

At the very least, you got to see some cool pictures. Right? Smile

Bringing these obscure aircraft to everyones attension is a good idea and is to be applauded..Smile
But asking for the modders to start work on one of these beasts, remembering the time and effort required to produce one is another matter mate.. Bearing in mind that those guys that produce these aircraft for us are doing multiple projects as it is.

Ok let me be more specific, Ju 390 did aerial refueling trials, but only Me 264 flown up to the East coast of USA.

At least the modders are very well aware of planes such as this. What you and few others are doing is spamming the forum with requests threads, wich as you said very well, will die.

You have 1 subforum to post precise and concrete references to airplanes.

"Aircraft Reference Library"

And you have threads specifically for requesting planes, using very brief descriptions and material.

Well, I guess we won't agree. So, instead of starting a bloody mess, let's agree to disagree.
