As it's now a real team effort, I'll introduce the players (also in the "readme")

Poncho: Java magic and adding/importing new features and gunsight.
Flushmeister: Gunsight lens look.
Fly_zo: Fitting glass to the gauges.
NWD: Cleaning up after me, better known as bug fixing my mess and making the glass work even better. Making the needles in a lot of gauges and the flaps lever follow reality closer. Light to indicate feathered prop.
Me: Changing a pixel here or there.

Delete the old cockpits before installing the latest. If you have created your own "sweetheart" panel, copy it to a safe place.
Please read the readme, or you'll miss out on the options.

Changes in 1.2:
-Pet peeve 1: Seat strengthening ribs now visually into the seat.
-Pet peeve 2: Text on instrument panel now says "magnetic standby compass", not "magnetic state of compass"
-Text cleaned up for instrument panel
-Seat slots made for safety harness
-Headrest re-upholstered
-"Hades" yoke now of the 'improved' type
-Lower fuel gauge showing up correctly as "MAIN" again and double texture under it removed

Changes in 1.3:
-Fuel indicators now indicate the approx. amount of gallons in the tanks. When the "MAIN" tank runs dry and drops to "0", the "RESERVE" takes over and counts you down as you find your way home or find a place to land.
-Hydraulic pressure indicator needs engine RPM to show operating value of ~1300PSI. When you raise or drop landing gear, the value drops to ~600PSI. Operation of flaps shows a small dip in pressure.
-Flap lever now behaves closer to the way the manual describes. For flap position you will have to gance at the Flap/Gear indicator.
-Temperatures and other values on the instruments have been calibrated to correspond as close to reality as possible. This should make the temperature gauges more dynamic.
-On the prop feathering console a light comes on when the prop on the corresponding side is feathered.
-Bugfix: Alpha for the "fubox.tga".

Enjoy!!! 8)

Patch June 13, 2009. Cockpit improved to v1.2
Install should be straight forward. The zipfile contains 3 folders. Extract them to a temp directory. Copy or move the "3do" directory from a P-38 version in the temp folder, into the corresponding one in the mods folder. You will be asked if you want to replace directories. Click "yes to all" and you should be done.

Certainly good work!

My EVGA 8800GT 512 SC seems to prefer the LR version. MR and HR still have great FRs but the gauges appear to have no anti aliasing.......Odd!

The detail is superb!
