Where do I download the MODs folder! I have searched the website as much as I can and canot find the mods folder! hock: Also how do I install new airplanes!

G'day liamp51,

You can't just dowload a "mods" folder. Don't know what you have installed so here's the full version of the recommended procedure for installing mods;

1. Buy/install IL2 Sturmovik 1946 (version 4.07 btw)

2. Download/install the 4.08m patch (about 144MB) Get that here.

3. Download all 8 parts of the UI 1.1 installer and install (put all 8 parts into the same folder and double click the .exe file). Download that from here.

That will install most things for you, you can then download new aircraft/maps/objects etc as you see fit, they will generally come with a readme file or the author may tell you in the thread how to install.

If you don't wish to use the UI then someone will come along shortly and explain how to install without the UI - personally I'd go with the UI.

I don't use the UI, but believe me, if I started from scratch there is no choice.
Go with the UI as Quelty recommends.

if you are using the mods from scratch, ie, one of the 0.9 versions, and have the wrapper etc installed, then you can just create a folder inside your main il2 and name it MODS

if you have not installed the mod before and have a clean install of il2, then as said above, use the UI1.1
