Hello everyone!

Il2 it's not only a matter of dogfight, there is also the fun to fly in a formation, but most of times, you need a squadron or players who have time.

My idea it's maybe to create a mod, you can record your flight with it, and you can fly in the TRACK while playing it...

for exemple: you record a flight with some aerobatics figures, after that, you fly in the track in formation with your "recorded plane" and record the whole thing again...

Personally I really don't think that'll ever happen, but there are or were specific servers for this only where people could join with about 20 other to fly formation and also to fly formation with others is much more fun than flying with a recorded version of yourself

Go to some of the IL2 Airshows, there are 1 or two every year sometimes more. Some 80 people on ts as well....

you should join a squad mate, then you can fly formation as much as you like. i saw a group of pilots,=XIII= i think they where called, they are always in servers mob handed, flying in big formations, well they where a flight of 8 bombers, eventually, the rest of the red side joined in with them and a flight of some 17 or so was formed, all attacking blue ground targets.

Most online squadrons do I suppose. My own (79 vRAF) has an obligatory formation flying test that you have to pass to become a full member.
