My brother just got this joystick and we tried set it up for IL-2 and nothing will respond in the game. The calibration showed everything was fine, but the game doesn't recognize it. Does it have something to do with the Profiler? He has Vista 32bit Home Premium.

i use exact same thing too. works fine. been using the same stick since IL2 first came out and never had problems with it.
run the IL2 setup and make sure you have 'use joystick' enabled. only thing i can think of. i doubt its a connection problem.
Remember to check the CD that came with it. I think it has the driver-whatevers for the joystick. I'm running on the same HW as you and it has worked for over a year already.
then go into you controls menu and scroll all the way down to the HOTAS section and make sure your controls are assigned to the joystick
The IL-2 Setup was the problem. I enabled it and now its working great, thanks guys.
