I think the mod is a great idea.

Would be nice to be able to run to your aircraft during a scramble or find your way home after being shot down as well. Probably no way to be able to switch cocpits though.

One of the early announced features for SOW was player-controlled flak guns - for precisely that reason.

I don't fly online, but it would be good if we could have a flak gun mod this in IL2. I'd play around with a quad 40mm AA gun - those things are nasty.

Wasn't there a mod way back when mods were Taboo that allowed you to get in and out of your aircraft? Like a bailout mod or something similar?

Now combining these could be neat...

Imagine a mission starting off at your barracks, having to jump in a car, drive to the airfield dodging strafing enemy a/c, drive to your hangar, fire up your plane, taxi to the runway and takeoff to fight.

Firstly everyone who is being like please give download link soon etc.... There will not be a download link if any of you read the person who did it did the things strictly for private use. As in he did it for fun so he can play with it, not to be released to the public.

Secondly, tanks and ships have already been attempted at long ago. A Torpedo boat and an Aircraft carrier was in the works but has since been abandoned for other things. Also a big tank (IS-2) was also being worked on but again never completed for other reasons.
