F9F Panther AI

Small issue with the F9F panther flying from carriers. Sspecifically with the number 2 plane in the flight during taking off.

Pilot is set to ACE

When clean and using the Catapault there are no issues with any fuel load.

With 2x 500lb bombs and 6 x rockets the second plane takes off and crashes.

The only way to get the plane to take off is to have the carrier (Essex class) at max speed 56kph (just a hair over 30 knots),
Fuel load at 80%. and you have to set a head wind of 14 knots.

It gets worse with heavier loads.
With 2 x 500lb and 6 x 250lb the carrier is at max speed (30 Knots) and I have to assign a headwind of 40 knots.

If I need 100% fuel for longer range missions I need a head wind of 50 Knots, that's a combined speed (carrier + headwind) of 80 knots. It's only the second plane in the flight that crashes.

Trying to accurately bomb and rocket is impossible. 50 kKnots is gale force bordering on typhoon windspeeds.

Also with these high wind settings, if your taking off manually (not autopilot) don't use flaps. they JAM just as you shoot off the bow.

I think it's due to much heavier jets than pistons. You should ask Fireball how to make stronger push of catapult.

if i'm not mistaken, the most recent version of the Catapult mod has an option to increase the catapult power...
