Road plate mod
#1

This mod is for map builders only, the plates don't appear in the Object box of the regular game.

These are new objects so you need to know how to edit your static.ini file

The road plates are laid the same way as airfield plates, try not to overlap them too much.

To learn how to get trains to run on the rail plates, read this tutorial by fabianfred. Don't put the waypoints much closer than 15 metres
otherwise the train will jerk around the curves instead of running smoothly.

Excellent, curved roads! Fantastic!

Annoying the annoying, so you don't have to.

Good work very realistic!

As Map building is too complicated for me, would be nice to have those plates available for FMB because it is very interesting to customize environement in some areas like your home airfield or target in ground attack missions.
I think it is possible we have already Tarmac plates, railways sections, and bridges available in FMB so why not roads?

I don't know how to make them available for use in the FMB. I've tried renaming & placing in different
folders, but nothing works.

It's because they're categorised as plates. Plates are treated differently to other objects but aren't available in regular FMB.

Do you mean the unlocked FMB, if you do, then yes. Normal FMB, no.

By the way, thankyou for your tutorial on making trains run anywhere, I was wasting my time
trying to turn a tank into a locomotive.

Cheers
