HyperLobby Issues
#1

i was using an older version of HL couple days ago, v 3.98.0 or something...then decided to update to 3.9.111- thinking ok mise well....

well now i cant connect to the HL server, it just says connecting..then says connection closed.

tried using a new name, and nothing, tried it on other computers, and nothing...

i know this isnt HL forum, but its been around for a while, mayb someone has an idea, some of HL's admin emails? or something to see whats wrong...there was a program that i used along time ago, for another sim, that if you installed it twice, it saw that, hardware id was in use...so remembering that
i reset my hardware id, mac address, and ip. reinstalled HL 4 times...

im behind a router, there were some other players on the same router, playing on HL and direct connect,
it was fine for them, but they were on vacation, and left to go back to utah.

this is a first issue of this caliber since i started playing again, month ago, after 4yr break. everything was going smoothly till after the 3.9.111 INSTALL-

something is wrong...but what? and where is Jiri, and when will the HL site be running again?

PROBLEM SOLVED!

Issue: Hyperlobby, would not connect, after upgrading to new hlpro version.

went to uninstall, then reinstall Older Version...problem still there

Solution,

After finding out hlpro has poor uninstall commands/install as well. of which will not work.
only know alternative is to REFORMAT

Installed older version, 3.9.85-
Tryed connecting to hlpro server,

msg: ERROR, UPDATE TO 3.9.111- ALL OTHER VERSION WONT WORK!

so i upgraded, and *p0oF!*

now i can connect.

FYI: now hlrpo wont allow any OLDER versions on the server ANYMORE, most likely to prevent issues, bugs.
so MAKE sure to use latest version.

Personally, i think HLPRO should incorparte a " Auto "NEW" version check with the server plus the hash id just as you connect.would be nice.
