There should be sounds of the "Original" Restored ME-262. I believe it was filmed after resotration back in 2005 when it was flown. After that it was put on display back east somewhere. All the ME-262's after that were reproductions based on it and done by the Storm Bird Project group.

well, if you look up on youtube:

Looks like the actual MS recording

and:

The team that built the replicas used the same housings and case as the original Jumo engines, so startup sound should be as close as we will ever know.

Flying sounds, really sound like any other Jet (they all sound the same to me, not the same as piston engines with different exhaust notes) Only difference between Jets I have ever noticed is with Afterburners and TurboFans like an A-10 (is a turbofan really a jet? much like a turboprop, I guess)

Anyhow, Jafa if you ever found the time to put your talent to doing something with the Jet sounds, that would be great.

Back to the P51 topic sorry.[/url]

No pilot in his right mind would fly original Jumo,s , they were so unreliable , alot of it down to lack of rare metals for shure but anyhow , I have new jet sounds in my vault but I would like to speak to a button maker before I release them cos there is somthing I would like to try ,if it cant be done ill just release them as they are....

Jafa.

Huuuray! Thanks!

New Button Files? Maybe while they are at it they could add individual buttons for each engine startup. So we could use all of your startup sounds.

I know, I know. I ask for too much sometimes. Its great to finally hear what I should have been hearing since the sim was release! AAA hasn't really added much as far as code to the game right, just opened up what has been there under locks, right?

Jafa, one other question, in your p47 / radial engine sounds, why is there never any prop/wash/slap sound? Is it technical, or you prefer not to have it? Either way fine, just curious.

Jafa,

Where did you get your Mustang cockpit mod? It looked superb. Is this a mod that is in the works or has it already been made available? I've searched for it, but no luck finding it.

It was done by FZ but was removed for some reason.

Really enjoyed that video, some very, very nice camera work! Looks like I'll have to find some way of improving my techniques!

BTW, shame about the cockpit being removed, looks pretty bloody impressive to me! Any ideas why it was removed?

Cheers, MP.

Man, your movies are simply amazing. Not to mention your engine sounds are the best, (IMO.) I use them all but the DB605. lol

You and others have added SO much to the already great SIM. Many thanks Smile

I am in no way criticizing your work that Neptune sounds great, probably perfect as I listen to a B17 flyby (not a whole lot of Neptune videos out there).

What I meant by prop slap is this:

Trust me I feel your sounds are the best advaliable and very satisfying. I am just asking if this could be added or not, your choice.

NOTE: After reviewing some p47 videos and then looking at this T6 Texan, this is what I was thinking, maybe for other planes, NOT the p47 or anything else, maybe some of the other biplanes.

Sorry, this is not possible.

gflinch , test is my version of low speed propslap it works with a distance prs so if you were standing say 30 feet further away you can still hear the engine but no longer the slappin , I would like it to be louder and sharper but when ive tried that the game seems to have an audio fit and gives back lots of static so it will have to stay as is for now.

Hero,

keep up the work, you are really accomplishing something with all this, I understand a little on the distance matter, as far as how it sounds. It really does sound good. BTW: do you need any sound sources, I have a lot of CDs with specific aircraft start-up flight and flybys. I would like to help where I could in appreciation of what yo are doing.
