The first is a radio-controlled tank called Goliath carrying explosives,aimed to destroy tanks after being driven under them.The other are extra super heavy canons used by the Germans in WW2 in cities siege.

Weren't those guns called Paris guns? I think Germany had one in WWI but it took so long to load and was rather inaccurate because of the range that it was eventually removed from service. Good concept but needed a little more time on the drawing board. Does show that the technology was pretty impressive, though. look how bif that barrel is and so little support from the gun carriage.

I think they used those rail cannons on the Russian front - a siege in the Crimea I think.

Its been a while since I've read any WWII history so I could be wrong.

The "Paris Gun" was indeed a WWI weapon. Essentially, it was the Kaiser's V-2, since it could only hit city-sized targets and was intended as a psychological, rather than battlefield weapon.

Its been a while since I've read any WWII history so I could be wrong.

Designed for use against the Maginot line, ended up being used mostly in Russia, although a few were used against the Western Allies.

I believe that the first cannon in the film is the Schwerer Gustav or Dora 80 cm cannon:

Wow if they made 88's that size I'd turn in my bomber wings. Had they loaded a Flak-burst shell into that they could knock out a whole wing of B-17s! Of course It would take another two years and thousands of bomber raids for them to reload a single shell.

Also those heavy mortars were used on city's i remember that i've saw a very rare footage were those mortars were mounted on the stug..tank
