Hi,

Firstly can I say that I love the work you guys have done with these mods, they improve IL-2 so much.
One of the latest things I have discovered is the G4M2E (The one with the antenna?) and its suicide rocket plane, made available through your great mods.

What I would really like is to be able to man the waist gunners on this G4, as you can in its conventional bomber counterpart, and, if possible, the nose gun/s aswell. I imagine it wouldn't be too difficult to add in the other bomber's side guns if you knew how, and I wondered if anyone can either tell me how to*, or create for me, this, so that the waist guns would be usable for a human player. If possible, this would also be great for the nose gun, although the antenna may cause problems, and the side-facing front gun - which is probably tricky as it is in a position unshared by the normal G4.

*I have a basic knowledge about the gun views going in the MODS folder for corresponding aircraft, but my this is very limited.

I am very sorry if this is in the wrong section of your forums, I just saw that it said requests. Also, if I have been unclear, please say so.

EDIT: Off-topic a little, but has anyone ever made mods in which you can drive ground vehicles or boats - I know it's meant to be a flight sim but...

Can't help you with the gunners problem, i'm not a good modder, but -- there're no drive vehicles / pilot ship mods.

Back on the original topic, does anyone know where the original plane setup - as in cockpit and gunner position - files are. Would it just be a matter of copying the side gunner position folder from the original G4 into the modded folder, or are there more files to edit?

Sorry for the triple post but I very much a appreciate a reply that can be implemented by this weekend, as I'm planning a small LAN tournament that would require the side gunners to be playable.

No we don't -- and i'm guessing few people are reading this who haven't read it already.

My advice is to send a very nice pm to ranwers, who is a bit of a cockpit genius. However, i'm not sure he'll take requests so to speak, and if he did, i've no idea if he'd have it done by the weekend, though i've no doubt over his immense skill. Anyway, you can but ask, i suppose.
