You need to run the A/C Installer 3.8 for this. It has all the FM's you're likely to find on this site.

I think I will make a separate bombload with 1x500lb bomb and 8xflares, suitable for AI.
The flares will be treated as bombs for this bombload only, so that the AI will drop them from high altitude. You will be able to plan some AI flights to light some specific areas. But please consider that AI in this case will drop all bombs/flares at a time.

Also, the new version will have a new cockpit made by Ranwers.

Has someone made some tests online (coop or dogfight)?

I have some trouble finding the air.ini file. If I open my MOD folder and open the STD folder, I can't find anything like "com"

can somebody help me out?

Using the AAA UI 1.1/1.1.1 the path should be:

C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946\MODS\STD\com\maddox\il2\objects
