I can place an object, say an artillery battery, or maybe a plane parked way out on the ramp, but I can't rotate them. You know, like line them all up wingtip to wingtip all facing due east....or rotate the artillery to face towards the sea, or whatever. Im using a laptop without a 10 key pad so I don't have a "NumPad" button. It actually does a decent job as long as I don't add too many AI planes etc.
Is there a workaround that anybody knows of that will let me rotate/orient objects after I get them placed?
TIA

Edit your conf.ini file. A section of this (I can't remember and I'm at work) should contain keybindings for FMB functions. The entries should be relatively self explanatory. Just re-start il2 after changing those bindings and voila.

Whoa! Thanks brother but I'm not sure my 'puter skills are up to par. I'd definitely need someone to hold my hand the first time out of that gate. I am a quick study though. If you get some spare time a run-through would be greatly appreciated.
Thx!

Rotating objects can be done by pressing mouse roll and dragging to left or right... :poke:
Hi
all laptops have a numberpad hidden in there somewhere......
There is also a key that activates the numberpad ...hidden somewhere in one of those buttons......
try & find it, a green light or blue will show as you have activated this alternate service, then it should work
