What's about a Heinkel He-219 "Uhu"
#1

Hey Folks!

I got a request. What's about the Heinkel He-219 "Uhu" as an new slot plane. This Airplane is one of the best planes ever built in WWII. I am one of the biggest fans of this plane. Is it possible to make my dream came true?

Here some technical details:

Hi There,

There is already a He-219 in the game as WIP. However, it uses one of the Do-335 slots and the cockpit of the He-162. Check here: viewtopic.php?t=4446&highlight=he219.

I don't know if the project is still in progress.

Yes you know what i mean. I also wish to fly a "proper" Uhu. This plane is one of the best milestones of german airplane engineering technology. High speed, high climb rate, great avionic and air stability, last but not least awesome firepower.

Hello All,

So, is someone still or again working on a "proper" UHU with a new 3-D model and in its own slot? I thought that the WIP Franken-UHU, if I may call her that, was just meant as a stepping stone towards a new model in its own slot.
By the way, I never did figure out why the glue sticks were called "UHU." But now I realized it's because that's what they used back then to put the He-219 together!

I really hope that someone can take this project on and complete it. That would be just great!

I'd love to see our bird in a new slot with proper weapons. Frankenplane is just Modspeak for "labor of love"...

Wow, the Frankenplane's come a hell of a long way since I last saw it...

Still working on a possible new cockpit, no progress as I'm still setting up the basics on my new PC but it's there if someone decides to go the whole way with a new slot and all Wink
