I created a little mission for some Spitfires/Hurricanes in the Bob 1940-41 Era,
fighting off some Luftwaffe He-111, Ju-87

Thanks. It took about 20 minutes to create a very nice RAF arfield... only to have it
bombed by some 6 hell-diving Stukas!! How rude of them! Confusedhock:
The final score was 11 RAF aircraft shot down ( I had to bail out, too) to 26 Luftwaffe fighters and bombers.
They went back to land home limping on one foot! Those fools! AH!

Max, the last one is great! You know how I like to make them look like real photos. I'm jealous. That photo effect is great. Wish my photoimpact 12 had it. Very nice shots.

Epic shots! But the Battle of Britain, by british records, ended on the 31 october 1940, so 1941 is technically not correct

Your correct Phillip.Ed. But they still continued with some bombing missions, but not
on such a large scale.
Oh well, I this is IL-2, so anything goes! LOL Big Grin

Here are a few more shots.
Untouched, just stuff off the game.

This Luftwaffe guy kept chasing me for a good 10 minutes, got a few hits on me and I began smoking. The Spitfire held up good and we continued over the English fields and then over the English Channel, but...

...then I did a cork-screw on him and ended up getting a few strikes on his cockpit.
As they said back in teh BoB days, " Another hun in the drink!"

Wonderfull!

Just a question: Why Spitfire and Hurricane have a white and a black underwing?

Actually this is the very early BoB RAF paintjobs , so ground crews would not hit RAF aircraft with
flak. I just think they look very cool as a paintjob, that is the reason I used them for this little
mission flight. I will soon change all planes to the proper skins.

Nice shots! And I think that the Luftwaffe stated the BoB continued well into 1941 so in that sense you are correct 8)
