Even though I already made this particular skin doesn't mean you shouldn't try it yourself. I learned by doing and a lot of the skins I made had already been done, too. From this angle the stripes look pretty well lines up. It looks like you just need to pick up some of the details (cowl flaps, front of cowling, remove the yellow from the turret) and you'll have a good skin!

Making skins like these is harder than it looks! Some of them have lots of stripes, dots and other markings that don't stretch well on the plane.
This is a good example of stripes that just didn't want to line up!

Keep it up and let's see some more! Big Grin

when i draw strafes i tryed to place countures in same positions like in reality,so as markings..i moved them to right place
...and yes..i DL ur skinpack i saw all ur work -
p.s.
about cowl of flaps, and front cownling...u can color only bottom and only top(u know that good Smile)... and when u color that,u color all engines...not one paticulary..so i left it this way...i saw Jarink.. (if is that u)coloured engines in other way(i can easy describe it with THIS)picture Smile, and that for nose turret..yes...i cant find that place where i need to remove yellow color

...man i wonder how ur making that skins so good...i use Adobe Photoshop CS4 and in the same time i run IL2 to see my progress and what i need to change on skin.if there is an easier way please could you tell me...thanks! !S!

Yep, I'm him. It's a long story why I didn't use the same alias here as I do pretty much everywhere else...Thanks for the compliments! Smile

The cowl flaps are in two places. The upper set is at the bottom edge of the skin near the right corner. The lower set is along the right edge, just above the outer engine.
The cowling front is on the lower wing (along the right side of the skin) around the wheel. The turret parts are in the middle of the skin above the inside rudder/fin and below the control panel and ball turret side piece.

If there's an easier way to skin, I'd love to hear about it! Seriously, it just takes practice and trying different things to see what works for you. I think you have made a good start.

Edit: I forgot to address the striped cowlings...
Here's the reason I did it striped. It always helps if you can find an actual photograph!
