The update is very welcome, although Ranwers cockpit seems seems odd. The top wing centre section sits lower than the mainplanes and there is a big chunk of stuff forward of the seatback. Perhaps it's an issue with using 6DoF. :???:

Yes, I believe that's correct. On the loadout screen, it says;

1 x 500 lb + 8 x flares (AI use)

I tested the other 2 bomb/flares combination, taking off from a static carrier, using 100% fuel and no flaps. As expected, my take off was perfectly acceptable and the bombs\flares dropped seperately using the 2 ordnance keys.

Oh and Ranwers, your cockpit is up to your usual standards... i.e. lovely!

Getting odd behaviour from AI Swordfish in COOP.

They 'porpoise' and abandon flight path and plan.

Single player missions exhibit same problem on second flight.

IE

This could just be normal IL2 AI behaviour mate.. Does it happen when you come down low for a torpedo attack or bomb run?
Sometimes the AI behind will shoot up high and then eventualy rejoin the flight.. if so its a common problem..

I cannot reproduce this problem. Do you have some AI mod installed? Can you please send me or post the coop or single player missions you are using?

I downloaded the Swordfish and made a mission out of it. Everything seems to work right and I think it is a winner.

I flew a German Ar-196, a not very powerful plane, against it and easily shot down five of six Swordfish without damage to myself (not getting the sixth because another Ar-196 got it first).

The rear gunner of the Swordfish needs to be more effective, about the strength of the early German Stukas or the Japanese D3A1 "Val", I think.

Good job. I like the new cockpit in the Beta 2.

Tried for 3 days to register. Unfortunately, the site posts a notice saying that it is unable to register at present. Given the extended delay does anyone know of another way to get this aircraft? ... and yes I do know the rational for making the download available in this manner but given the circumstances--i.e. site not available for non-members--it is frustrating.
