Flying H... A lot of the first time problems with setting up UberDemon is that you miss or not follow the steps for setting up the program. Try starting with a fresh install of UberDemon and carefully follow out the steps for the installation. It's probably something very simple you just missed the first time around. I hope you can find and solve your problem.

UberDemon... Will have to give those scenario's a try! Was using the Iwo Jima map the other day flying in a Betty bomber dropping a unit of Baka or Ohka on a attack mission that was trying to decimate the Allied forces holding the lost Island. Very tough ride flying the Betty's againest a determined Allied air defence.

A few screenshots of the mission... and have to add that it's hard to get the full number of aircraft flying the mission in a screenshot. LoL Although I normally can get up to 200 without any problems depending on the map... anything after though and my Rig can't seem to handle it and I start getting the studders and etc. One of things I found is you need to give the aircarft a good amount of flight space in between airacraft using the Advanced Cloning Option that comes with UberDemon. I set the Clone Flight Spacing... X&Y around 350/450 give or take and this helps a lot with my Rig being able to run a 200 aircraft mission.

Well back to those screenshots... there were a little over 140 aircraft in this mission.

Hello

I have to installs of Il2 1946 on two different HD
on HD : E I have the original Il2 1946 installed from the DVD
on HD : C I have a copy of il2 1946 whiche I updated with AAA 1.1
Both run great and fine
But
I wanted to install new UQMG. I downloaded from UQMB and unzipped in a tempC. Then I click on set up and installation run fine into the defaut directory in C/programes files/UQMB. Then I went into the file and clicked on UQMB.exe
After a while a small window poped up showing :"the feature you want to install is on a CD...." (sorry I don't remember by hart)...try to find out the UQMB.msi. At the bottom on the small window there was a line with the number 1 written in it with the possibility to browser to find out that .msi file...But I couldn't find it .
I'm wondering if the problem is coming from the fact I have to Il21946 installation on my PC.
Can anybody help please? I like UQMB very much and used to play with that nice soft a lot.
Thanks in advance for answers.

Azdack... I have IL-2 on my rig's regular hard drive x2 with a fresh copy non modded and a modded version as a backup and also the same x2 on a external hard drive which I use for playing. Again you might want to go over the installation steps of UD program and retry following UD installation steps closely. Here is a link to the UD setup page. http://uberdemon.sushicereal.com/index2.html

Also I run the UD 5.0.32 the first program to download for a quick mission before I install the UD 5.0.44. I hope you get the problem straighten out as your really going to enjoy the updated version.

Thanks for your answer woofiedog. I can't fix it. I'm missing something for sure. Here both of text I got
:
The feature you are trying to use is on a CD-ROM or other removable disk that is not available.
Insert "the Quick Mission Tuner " disk and clikc ok
Use source :
1
(three options then : Ok or Cancel or Browse...

Then another window pops up :

The path "1" cannot be found. Verify that you have access to this location and try again, or try to find the installation package "Quick Mission Tuner 1946.msi" in a folder from which you can install the product Quick Mission Tuner 1946.

???
Any help - thanks

Azdack... are the messages coming up when you have the Zipfiles up and you are installing the files into IL-2? I haven't run into this problem before... but over my weekend [Sun & Mon] I will look into this for you and get back to you.

I really suggest going back over the install instructions by UberDemon... it easy to miss a step.

Once you have the first part installed UD 5.0.32. Run a mission with this and then install the next part UD 5.0.44.

Also when you start UD for the first time around... start it from the Start Menu Window.

To install UQMG:

* Download WinZIP file from http://www.uberdemon.com

* UnZIP it in a temporary directory/folder, such as "c:\temp" or create one. Right Click on the zip file and then go to the Winzip options, then select "Extract Here".

* Double click the file "setup.exe"

* Preferably, use the default directory installation in the setup.

* Start UQMG from the Start Windows menu.

* Follow ALL Instructions closely when you install it.

* Whether you are familiar with UQMG or new to it, I recommend you to click the "Tutorial" yellow button to start enjoying the features of UQMG right away. It is easy to read, and you will have lots of fun with it building missions that are very playable.

For UQMG Veterans:
* After you install this version you can transfer any of your custom "uqmg" mission data files to the new UQMG. Read instructions in the File menu in UQMG. After that, you can uninstall the previous version of UQMG.

Hello Woofiedog
Thanks for your answer. I followed the install step by step as you kindly explained. I downloaded UBQMB from the site then unzipped in a Temp c folder then double clicked on set up and the installation runs fine. then I go into start window menu in which I can find UBQMB icone and I clicked on it and then begin my problems : one first small window pops up (pity I can't post here the screeshot of that small window) showing what I already said in my post above. And then another small window pops up showing : The path "1" cannot be found. Verify that you have access to this location and try again, or try to find the installation package "Quick Mission Tuner 1946.msi" in a folder from which you can install the product Quick Mission Tuner 1946.
Please don't waste too much time from your week-end. It would be nice if I can use UBQMB again above all with AAA 1.1 MODS pack but I have many other missions and campaigns to play.
Up to my mind my bug is bound to the fact that I have to installations of Il21946 on my PC. One on a C HD with AAA 1.1 Pack mods and another one on a E HD with a C6-pack Mods and I guess that the UBQMB installer don't know where to install the soft...I have a computing conflict somewhere.
I am an old user from UBQMB in a time where I had only one version of Il21946 on my PC and at that time I had obviously no problem to run UBQMB.
Thanks anyway for your answers[/img]

Hmmm... my guess would be that perhaps you have another mission utility that conflicts with UQMB? I had not seen that error message myself, so I'd think something else is amiss.

Do you have any other 3rd party mission editors on your machine?

I fumbled my way through the upgrade process and somehow it works okay.

Thanks very much UberDemon,
I followed your post step by step and finally I could install UBQMG but...there is a but...I always have that window opening by clicking on UBQMG icone to create a mission :

The feature you are trying to use is on a CD-ROM or other removable disk that is not available.
Insert "the Quick Mission Tuner " disk and clikc ok
Use source :
1
(three options then : Ok or Cancel or Browse... )

Then by clicking on "cancel" several times, UQMG finally pops up
actually by reading carefully the text it is said :"...or other removable diske that is not available." Actually I copied the version on Il2 1946 on my HD C from an HD removable I used to save many documents.
On my HD E I installed the game from the DVD I bought but on C it is in fact a copy from a removable save HD...
Maybe UBQMG has to be installed on a Il2version installed from original dvd..don't know i'm not ans informatician.
Thanks anyway for your explanations.
