Donating Ruhrstahl SD-1400X Fritz-X Model.
#1

Hello everyone.. I have a Fritz-X model, that I modeled and unwrapped last night up for adoption. MODERATORS.. If this in wrong area, I am sorry!

I tried to create a new aircraft with a new slot based on the Ju-88a4, to mount this weapon as a test bed for making it the ship killer it should be. I got my new aircraft to show up but I couldn't change loadouts to develop the Fritz-X any further. The info required to do so seems to be very guarded in these parts and I can understand why it is that way.

Until I join the club which knows this information. I decided I would make the Fritz-X I have created available for download. Maybe that way, some mod designer which knows how to get the model in game, but lacks the time to model the weapon can pick up where I have left off.

Before I keep going, I will just shut up and post my bit and maybe you veterans can make use of it.

The model may have a high poly count.. I'm not sure as I'm not yet that familiar with the engines capabilities. No LOD versions have been created. 3dsMax7 model, 512x512 texture map, I'm also adding the Paintshop Pro 7 layered .psp file for skinning. Be warned I'm no texture artist so the paint scheme probably isn't 100% accurate. Also.. I wasn't able to find any 3 views for this model so it's proportions maybe off a hair but it's pretty dang close.

Adding it to rapidshare since everyone should be able to get it there.

It's already being integrated with a new slot Fw200. Along with the Hs293. But thanks for your offer nonetheless. Big Grin

Do you render your 3d-images in some kind of a box?

I use a flat plane below the model with a darker material applied usually.. It seems to absorb some of the harsh light and keeps your textures from looking washed out when rendering with advanced lighting on. Also gives the shadows something to fall on and look pretty. lol

Maybe it will give you more incentive to get your version done quicker, knowing that everyone might be working on the same thing.. Big Grin

I will have to skip the Hs293.. Has anyone done a Grand Slam bomb yet?
