They actually used a couple of them in Von Ryans Express, an old Frank Sinatra movie http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Von_Ryan%27s_Express

Yip, saw one last month flying around in Tauranga, New Zealand - painted up like a 109. IMHO they're ugly looking things in comparison to a 109. They're still around.

Actually they were used in some movie about Mossies, they were used as fighters instead of the 109 Big Grin I think the producers ran out of money and had to get some cheaper repliques...

They also used one in the movie "The Great Escape" when two of the characters were escaping and tried to fly over the Alps.

Nope, they escaped (or tried to) in a Bucker Bu 181
