Sweet! Can't wait!

EDIT:

Panel Lines and rivets are complete. I could have done more but I am exhausted with it and they look good enough. D/L is here.

Well shucks MAF, I feel kinda silly posting mine now, but here we go anyway. Mine is nowhere as good. Back to the drawing board I guess.

I also played around with the curves feature in PSCS2 on the metal layer F22_Raptor did. Pobably need to try some other settings. I also added a little heat discoloration around the tailpipe; tried to keep it subtle. Did a little shadowing around the ailerons and elevators. I think I just need to turn the opacity down on the lines and rivets some more and reduce the line/rivets shadows some more too.

MAFRIA, I like your scoop shadows much more than my own. I reckon I need to work on those some more.

BTW, has anyone noticed that you have to turn your Font sizes WAY down to write on this? That U.S. Air Force on the tail is pitched at 0.7. Just in case anyone wants to do the stencils.

Looking good Smile

Btw the panel lines and rivets that boosher did were great but you need to warp them and move them a bit to align them. If you put the UV wrapping on top of everything with around 20% opacity you can see that the lines and rivets are kind of a bit down and a bit to the right in general. Due to the mapping of the thing some bit son the fuselage need to be warped. The canopy bit on yours is on the fuselage whereas it should be on the canopy.

Here's some of the areas on mine where i've warped and moved it:

Oh and nice shading btw, I need to shade the control surfaces at some point.

While working on a skin, I made the unfortunate discovery that the panels and rivets didn't quite line up. I see Raptor has already pointed that out, but I thought I would post the pics anyway and ask what Raptor means by warping and could I get your glare shield layer?

As you can see, the bottom lines and panels are off by a bit. I have since started moving them over to line them up. This will be a slow process for me because I tend to move things one or two pixels at a time and then recheck everything.

Again, you can see how far things are off. I think part of the problem is that when Boosher was using the plans from FLAK, that he may have flipped the pic and misaligned it by mistake. I think I can fix it on mine. If I can, I'll let you know what I did and how I did it.

You can see on this pic how the left and right sides are off by a bit. As I said before, I think Boosher, you just misaligned the stuff when you did it. This is understandable since I was doing the same thing myself when trying to fit things to the "cutouts" from the original .tga file we were working with.

So, anyway, you can also see I adjusted my shadows and panel opacities. I think I may do some moe adjusting, but that's just me. Can never seem to leave things alone.

And thanks again Stu for those helmets, they are so cool!!!

One suggestion; we need to get all our stuff together in one basket so we can send it to FLAK. That means forwarding all the layers to one person and they compile them into one file so FLAK isn't getting stuff from all of us. Any volunteers? My biggest contribution was just the internals and not many of those. The rest of you, however, have have done tons more, so I don't think I need to be the one.

Like I said before in other posts, I'm not very good at making templates and I think there are folks working on this that have me beat by a country mile, so I am happy to sit in the back and let you boys go for it. I'm just glad to help.

Everyone's are looking great! As for compiling them - I'd be willing, but I don't think that my skins are the best of the lot here. I'm still having a little trouble getting my Olive Drab fuselage stripe right. The edge is just too hard and not realistic. Until I get that fixed I won't be building skins, I don't think. I'll have a workable void soon though.
