Hi all,

I feel really stupid, because I'm who teach people how to install mods correctly, but I have a problem.
I started the game and it crashed at 60%, so I opened MODS folder to see what happened, so I disabled the STD folder, and the game runs perfectly again.
so that's it, the problem is there, now it's when you, my friends, If you want, help a man that has been four months without flying.

I was thinking in some solutions, download a new static.ini, (because SOMEBODY did not make a back up copy :roll: ) a new air.ini (the same thing) or something like that.
(I have the latest AC Installer 3.8)

So please, If someone have any solution , I will be very thankful.

So your STD file is disabled? If so, it is imperative that you unblock it.
Your real problem started with whatever caused the crashes at 60%.
Try installing the Aircraft Installer v3.8
If that doesn't work, go through all the most recent mods you had installed and see if you made an error somewhere.

This is all I can think of at the moment, hopefully it helps but if I misunderstood you that's my mistake.
If you end up needing a completely new buttons or STD file I'd be happy to send a brand new copy your way.

Some expert should be able to say what is loaded at 60%... a/c or objects or something.... by which you might know if the problem lies in in the static.ini ...or the technics.ini ...or the Chief.ini ............. or maybe in the i18 folder....

It can't be the buttons file, cause is the latest version ( 3.8 )...

That could be really helpful, but If I replace or extract the static or air files, the game crashes too, because it can't load the MODS info, right?
so I think that this could be more difficult to solve that what I tought...

If I extract the air.ini file from the STD Folder, the game load...
How can I solve it?? download a new one and add all the planes again and try it all one by one?? :???:

Hmm...

Did you by chance download any non-AAA aircraft? (TBM-1 etc.)
What's happening to you is very strange indeed and I can't imagine what went wrong with air.ini
You may have to do the guess and check thing with the air.ini and go through to see what's missing or not quite right.
Say the word and I'll send a link for my air.ini (which is not giving me issues at the moment )
I have many AAA planes but not all. If it comes to that point you'll have to compare what I have/have not against your own MOD folder.

I really hope we get to the bottom of this soon...

take an aircfraft, a .50cal and cord. Sit over the wing, take the rifle and tell the pilot that tie you.
and when the pilot aproach to the enemy aircraft (10 feets more or less) shoot.

Try to remenber what was your last change in air file and the plane, check if you dont have folder with same names, after fixes all make a winrar backup:
your MODs folder.

My MODS\STD\com\maddox\il2\objects\Air.ini is Broken so, I'm going to extract it to the desktop, and copy and paste the
\IL-2 1946\files\com\maddox\il2\objects\Air.ini that its completly clean, to the STD Folder, and I'm going to add, one by one, all the new aircraft, and see If I can find the ploblematic line.

That could be useful? do you know some other metod?

Davidson, i think yes, it may take a bit of time, but it would be better if you added all the new planes one at a time, testing between each one. That'll be the safest way to identify the culprit.
Your air.ini looks okay, but do it this way, anyway. Remember, the error could also be an incorrect/missing entry in the plane_ru or weapons_ru.properties files, sitting in MODS\STD\i18n.
BTW, what new AC have you installed recently?

Yes, thats what I'm doing in this moment, and I have AC 3.8 so I tink that's not the problem...
What I'm doing is adding by groups all the planes in my corrupt air.ini to another completly clean (From A-20 to bf-109, from blenheim to FW-190...)
to see what line could be the problem.
If that doesn't work I will try to do something with the plane_ru and weapons_ru.properties files.
