Planes Textures pixelised
#1

Hi everybody !

I've recently done a new install of IL2 1946 with the mods, but the textures of my plane are very poor and bad, whereas the textures of the water, the forest and the groud are good.

With my last version, all was really beautifull.

I'm playing with a HP Compaq 8510p, Intel Core 2 Duo, Win XP SP3, and my graphic card is a ATI Radeon Mobility HD 2600 (drivers are ok).

Here is my Open GL config, I don't know which option I have to change to have beautifull planes...

It's not a skin problem as you can see on those pictures (and during the game, as you can imagine, it's worse).

I hope Someone could Help me because I feel very frustrated and my eyes are bored...

Looks like anti-alising (sp?) issues. If you switch it on or increase it, it smooths out those pixelations but is a bit heavier on the ol' graphics card. With IL2, there's no AA settings to play with in game, you need to switch it on manually using your graphics cotrol panel eg ATI catalyst control centre or Nvidia's equivilent.

Annoying the annoying, so you don't have to.

Looks like a lack of anti-aliasing. Open your video card controls, select the profile for Il2:1946 and adjust the AA until you get a balance between acceptable frame rates and smooth textures.

Thaks guys,

But do you know where I could modify the AA ?
I've played during many hours with my computer before, I've never seen this type of texture.

I've installed the expansion Battle Of Britain (wwiies). Do you know if it could be the cause of my problem?
